This is a small group tour with a maximum size of 16 people plus guide(s).
The meals included on the tour are specified for each date: Breakfast (B) and Dinner (D).
DAY 1 – Thursday, March 2
We fly to Iceland from Washington Dulles. Other airport options are available, and if you don’t want to include flights, the cost is $2,150.
DAY 2 – Friday, March 3
After our flight arrives in the morning, we will take a private guided tour of Reykjavik. Highlights include the Presidential residence at Bessastaðir, Harpa concert hall, view over Reykjavík city from Perlan dome, Hallgrímskirkja church, and the old harbor. We plan to see the Northern Lights in the evening. This is the only tour on the itinerary that is not private because the private tours cannot be rescheduled for free if cancelled. If the lights are not available this evening, we will try each evening until we see them!

DAY 3 – Saturday, March 4 (B)
Today, we take the popular Golden Circle tour where you will see a geyser shoot a column of water 98 feet into the air every 4-8 minutes. We will also see the majestic and beautiful Gullfoss waterfall. And we will visit Thingvellir National Park, the site of Iceland’s parliament from the 10th to 18th centuries. The park sits in a rift valley caused by the separation of two tectonic plates that separate North America from Europe.

DAY 4 – Sunday, March 5 B)
We travel to the stunning southern coast of Iceland. Along the way, we stop at the gorgeous Seljalandsfoss waterfall. We also stop at the majestic and much-photographed Skógafoss waterfall with its impressive 196 foot drop. We also go to the famous Reynisfjara black sand beach in Vik where we see the basalt column formations.

DAY 5 – Monday, March 6 (B)
The striking landscapes on the Snaefellsnes peninsula await us. A dormant volcano, seals, sea birds, and stunning natural beauty are yours to behold.

DAY 6 – Tuesday, March 7 (B, D)
You are on your own to explore Reykjavik and the surrounding areas. We will eat dinner as a group.

DAY 7 – Wednesday, March 8 (B)
We fly home after a fun week in Iceland!

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation in writing must be received by International Tour Company for appropriate refund minus the following fees and any nonrefundable services purchased. Air penalties are not part of the percentages below and vary based on the airline policy.
120+ days before departure: $100 processing fee
90-119 days before departure: Deposit amount is lost
60-89 days before departure: 65% of tour cost lost
Under 60 days before departure: 100% of tour cost lost; travel insurance is typically non-refundable after 15 days of purchase
